graphic for visual presentation of text Ans.: This company is capitalized for $500,000, in shares of $1 each. The principal office is in Denver, and we presume C. C. Lunt, the secretary, is located there. The president is L. C. De Morse. The company owns the Addie C. patented claim of 10 1-3 acres, on Mineral Hill, bonded for $37,500 to Jan. 1, 1900.
graphic for visual presentation of text The property is situated on a hill which has been unsuccessful as yet in the development of good mines, and the company has no cash or stock in the treasury. No work is being done on the property now. A shaft was sunk 290 feet, and about 100 feet of drifting was done.
graphic for visual presentation of text The company's future policy will be to lease and bond to reliable party to good advantage.

Addie C. Mining Co. Inquiry
Addie C. Mining Co.
graphic for visual presentation of text 3171. (Woodstock, Vt.) You will greatly oblige me by giving what information you can in addition to answering the following questions, concerning the Addie C. Mining Co., C. C. Lunt, secretary, in the Cripple Creek district, Colo.: are the officers efficient, and honest in their efforts to serve the best interests of the stockholders?
graphic for visual presentation of text What patented property do they have, and is there any litigation, and what amount of development work has been done, and what are the future prospects?
graphic for visual presentation of text Are there any debts?

graphic for visual presentation of text Ans.: The officers of this company are considered honest and reliable men. The company owns a full patented claim on Mineral Hill, called the "Addie C.," and, we understand, there is no litigation. They did own some other property, which, we are informed, they let go on account of conflicts, not deeming it worth a fight.
graphic for visual presentation of text The "Addie C. " is leased and bonded for $37,500, good until June 18, 1899. The original lessees and two sets of sub-lessees are at present doing work on the property. There is a shaft 200 feet deep, with 50 feet of drifting, and another, 116 feet deep, five others from 50 to 70 feet deep each, and four others from 25 to 40 feet deep each, and several other prospect holes and trenches.
graphic for visual presentation of text Some low grade ore has been opened up, but nothing as yet to pay to ship. If the bond was taken up, it would make the stock worth 7½ cents per share. The company has no debts, we are informed. There is an effort being made by some of the adjoining claim owners to unite and sink a deep shaft on Mineral Hill, for the purpose of a general prospect of the hill.
graphic for visual presentation of text It is a little outside of what has been considered the mineral belt, but the last month has witnessed the opening up of a large shipper on Copper mountain, almost a mile farther north than Mineral Hill, so that to-day it is harder to define the limits.
