Fair Chance Gold Mining Co. Lessees Working Great Vein Through Goodwill Tunnel
Cripple Creek—Kirk and associates have opened up an excellent vein on the Rob Roy and Ellen McGregor claims of the Fair Chance Gold Mining Co. on Gold hill. The vein is from 3 to 4 ft. wide and gives good returns.
The lessees will operate through the Good Will tunnel and negotiations are under way with the management of the Maud S. Gold Mining Co., operating the Red Bird for a supply of air for machine drills.

Good Will Tunnel in Use by Several Lessees
Three sets of lessees, operating through the Good Will tunnel on the properties of the Fair Chance and Progress Gold Mining Co., have found ore, and shipments will soon be made.
W. H. Klotz and C. B. Clough are leasing on the Ellen McGregor and extracting ore from a vein 2½ ft. wide.
Farther to the east, at about 1500 ft from the portal, S. J. Schenck is leasing on part of the Gold King, owned by the Progress Gold Mining Co. Strong veins of low-grade ore occur, and the lessees expect to be able to stope this above the adit level and ship it at a profit.
