WOODLAND PARK (View No. 7)

A short distance beyond Green Mountain Falls another view of Pike's Peak may be had at Woodland Park, altitude 8,494 feet, one gets a magnificent view of the north side of the Peak.

This is the finest view of this famous mountain to be had from any point in the region.

Just west of Woodland Park are the wildflower fields where the Wildflower Excursion trains stop on the return trip and permit passengers to alight and gather bouquets.

Divide Station, otherwise known as the "Hayden Divide" (altitude 9,198 feet), is the highest point reached on the Wildflower Excursions.

A few miles west of Divide will be found the Florissant Fossil Beds, a geological marvel that has been the subject of much study by scientists from all over the world. Excellent fossil specimens may be found in a few minutes' search.
