The Cripple Creek Short Line Trip is the Most Wonderful Sight-Seeing Trip in America

The folder is in mostly good shape, but have a small tear at the folding part on the lower 1/6th part. It is an old souvenir folder with hand colored pictures from somewhere between, oh, I would guess 1904 to 1915.

It mention the famous article by Julian Street about Cripple Creek, at the end of November 1914, and is addressing people going to the California Expositions to also stop by and take in the Short Line trip, and that dates this folder to 1915.

It has 3 maps in it showing the route in more or less artistic views, also has 12 pictures where 9 of them is more or less in the area around Rock Creek and St. Peter's. Then 3 more is from the District it self with 1 of Altman and the other two on the west slope of Bull Hill showing a shot down towards the gulch where the Economic Mill was, and the other shows mines at this side of Bull Hill.

But, it is really about the trip along The Short Line (Colorado Springs & Cripple Creek District Railway, C.S. & C.C.D. Ry.). I have same folder already (uploaded 01.02.2006) - but as this folder talks about the California Expositions, and the other do not, I figured it was worth showing as it makes them into two different folders. animated smile

Enjoy this little trip back to yesterday!
