Owned by the Ophir Mining and Milling Company in 1900.
This Mine was at
least big enough to be looked at and written about in the 1906 Geology
of the Cripple Creek District book I have, so I have some info about it at
least.
For now, check under Detailed info to see what
the 1906 book say about this mine.
I have a Sanborn map
dated 1908 of a mine called Carbonate Queen, but on that map it is listed
as being on Raven Hill, so I'm not sure if it is the same mine or not.
Would imagine it could be easy to misname a location for a map as Sanborn
had so many names and maps to keep track of. :-)
I also though I had
a image showing partly this mine based on the location shown of it on my
1902 map, but that image was so fucked up in that area (been painted over
in the original) so there were just nothing to gain from that image.
The image is one by
McClure if I'm not mistaken completely, and is one with a train painted in
on both the Golden Circle track and on the Midland Terminal track. Taken
along the High Line near Logan Mine.
