This is a complicated to figure out mine as the ground it is marked on the 1903 USGS map has more than 3 claims to it, but I think it is a shaft made to work several claims.
The USGS 1906 Report mention Sunflower Shafts and that they are 100 fet deep, so many shafts that means.
