graphic for visual presentation of text—————————
graphic for visual presentation of text The Ironclad, on Ironclad hill, near the Plymoth Rock properties, is proving the richest of bonanzas. Hall and Murphy are the lessees and they just completed a 35-ton shipment of ore yesterday to a Denver smelter and the Cripple Creek sampler.
graphic for visual presentation of text Assay returns from a 60-pound chunk taken from a vein yesterday showed a value of 54.86 ounces or $1,097.20 in gold to the ton. This ore is a water quartz and is only found in this camp in the Ironclad and Summit mines.
graphic for visual presentation of text The ore is now coming from 150 feet below the surface where the vein is from one to six feet in width. The last shipment went better than eight ounces to the ton and this one just made will show a much higher average when the returns come back from the smelter and mill.
