View of the Santa Rita mine and its small cyanide mill down into that sort of a hole. Part of a larger photo I never seen, I only know that the Low Line roadbed is a little bit more to the right, outside this view. Looks like a small mine operation based on the size of the head frame and hoist house. Still, a cute mine to model, one day…The Santa Rita Mine

      General notes:
Map is boring. To early for any railroads to show, hence I had to fix that my self by overlaying the 1902 claims overview map I have and trace the railroads, as this claim was really crossed by the various rails. The Discovery Shaft is about middle of the claim, with a second Shaft far up northwest near what is named Corner Number 3, and that is all.. Crossing the Climax Nos. 1 & 2 and clearly got the ground over them..
graphic for visual presentation of text After this claim map was made they have done more digging on this claim, as apparently based on some photo's there are diggings below the F. & C.C grade, and, I have a seen images showing what is known as the Santa Rita Mine below the Low Line Electric/Short Line grade, and the claim map has no such workings shown there, so most likely the discovery shaft was abandoned, possible also the upper northwest shaft. The Santa Rita small Cyanide Mill was down south of the Low Line grade, as per Sanborn 1908 and photo evident. Hence no rail connection except a stop along the Low Line based on a photo showing a trolley passing by the mine partly seen as a smokestack and part of a head frame in lower right hand corner.
