A rich strike is reported on the Climax claim on Squaw mountain. The property is developed by tunnel from the southern slope of the mountain and the ore found in the main vein is highly oxidized and carried free gold.

Little Puck Mining Co. Granted Lease on Squaw Mountain Estate
Chellew & Co. have been given a lease on the estate owned by the Little Puck Mining Co. on the south slope of Squaw mountain. Just as soon as an electric hoist can be installed on the shaft, which is 300 feet deep, mining operations will start.
