Enough ore is being mined at the 350-foot level on the Conundrum, owned by the Anchoria-Leland company, to meet the pay roll. Bad air has interfered with sinking and drifting at the bottom of the Conundrum shaft.

Conundrum Retimber After Fire
The Phoenix Mining Co., C. W. Howbert manager, is retimbering the Conundrum incline where shaft-timbers were burned out recently. The timbers were destroyed to a depth of 200 ft. below the collar.
