Another strike is reported made on the Old Gold property on Beacon hill, where an ore body three feet in width and carrying 2-oz. values is said to have been opened. This, vein was encountered on the 300-foot level, and the work of following it will begin at once.

A noticeable lowering of the water in the main shaft of the Old Gold company, on the western slope of Beacon hill, has taken place recently, and is attributed to the Roosevelt deep drainage tunnel.
