      General notes:
Plat Maps are somewhat interesting as the oldest map show the road down Squaw Gulch and the Squaw creek where it crosses the claim, both those are inside the area crossed by the Elsie placer claim though, so that area is gone on the Amended plat, inclusive the area east of the Elsie Placer as well for some reason. Claim is an angled shaped one.
graphic for visual presentation of text The Discovery Cut is made at the angled part, and the only part left of the east half of the claim on the Amended map. West of this there is marked a Shaft, with a third Shaft, fourth Shaft, fifth Shaft and sixth Shaft further west together with a Trench.
graphic for visual presentation of text On the Amended plat the discovery cut has grown into a Tunnel, and either has some shafts moved, or the borders moved of the claim, as the above mention first shaft is not marked at same location, as I now see a Shaft down at the southern border with a second Shaft and a third Shaft north and east of this, but west and north of the discovery shaft, in an area unused in the first map. There is also a new Trench, or the first has moved... I count two more Shafts inside an area lost to another claim, whereas on the first map there was four such shafts and a trench marked in the same ground now on the Amended map marked as no longer part of this claim.
graphic for visual presentation of text I'm not sure if the Oro Fino Tunnel I read about going into Gold Hill is the same as the tunnel shown on the Amended map, but untill further proof, I link them together.
