This property bids fair to become one of the big producers. Mr. Core, the manager, has been at work on this property for over four years and has done several hundred feet of development work and at last has been rewarded.

Legal Tender Mine Employees Laid Off LAID OFF.—All the employees of the Legal Tender mine were paid off yesterday noon and told they need not report for work until they were notified.
The action in laying men off was taken because the mine people had no market for their ore. At present they have all of 5,000 tons of ore in the bins and have no more bin capacity. Of the smelting grade they have 300 cars.
