General notes:
From all I been able to find out - which is very little - this seems to relate to the company that in the 1900 Manual book is called the Garfield Consolidated Mining Company, and which it around then was rumored was to be consolidated with the Bankers Gold Mining and Milling Company who also owns land around same mine.
The confusion factor here is the name Garfield-Grouse mine, as the Bankers Co. own the Grouse claim which goes sort of 90 degree on the Garfield, making them share a large portion of land but being separate mines...
In January (23) of 1898 I could read in Morning Times that the Garfield Grouse company has consolidated with the Mineral Rock company, which then explain what I read in Morning Times of September 20, 1899 where it mention that there is work on the Mineral Rock shaft of the Garfield-Grouse. That same paper on that date, also mention a lease on the south side of Zenobia which is to drive for the ore body left on the line by the Garfield-Grouse and as Zenobia is just north of the Grouse claim, and inside/at the Garfield claim, with the Mineral Rock crossing both Garfield, Grouse and Zenobia I think it is the same company with the Garfield in the front of its name.
Still a bit confusion and hard to keep track of this.
