Don't wait. An opportunity of your life. Investigate quickly. Times are improving, and this chance to acquire a partnership in a Cripple Greek Gold Mine will not be open long. It is dangerous to delay. The same attention given to small investors as large ones.
The Broken Hill Gold Mining Company
is located in the heart of the Cripple Creek Gold fields, El Paso County, Colorado. This Company is capitalized for One Million Shares, one-half of which are now remaining in the Treasury, one hundred thousand to be disposed of at 2.5 cents per share, proceeds to be used in development, building and erecting machinery, etc.

3463. (Boston, Mass.) What is the condition of the Boston & Battle Mt. Mining Co., of Cripple Creek, and is the mine being pushed towards a profitable basis?
Ans.: The property of the company, which is under lease and bond, is situated just east of Victor, Colo., and about 2,500 feet a little east of south of the Independence mine. It is equipped with a shaft house, 25x68 feet, a 50-horse power steel boiler, a No. 7 Cameron sinking pump, a Hendrie & Bolthoff hoister, a reserve boiler, and the usual minor accompaniments.
The shaft has been sunk to a depth of 358 feet, but thus far the sought-for ore body has not been found. No drifting has been done below the 240-foot level, the idea being to gain depth. Scores of assays have been taken within the past six months, the average of which has returned a value of about $ 4, although picked assays are said to have run as high as $80.
In March last, two of the directors visited the property, and caused examinations to be made by a couple of mining men of experience and good standing, who were well acquainted with the camp. The reports in each instance were to the effect that the indications were promising.
The board of directors as at present constituted, took charge of affairs about a year ago, at which time, following a number of retirements from the board, all salaries and commissions were abolished, to the end that revenue derived from the sale of treasury stock should be applied wholly to development work.
4491. (Concord, N. H.) Would you kindly report on the Boston & Battle Mountain Mining Co., floated in 1895; president, Chas. Lawrence; clerk, F. L. Jarvis, of Portland, Me. I think the mine is located in Cripple Creek.
Ans.: This company was incorporated under the laws of the state of Maine, with a capital of $2,000,000, and its last return (1898) shows that stock to the amount of $1,705,232 is subscribed for. The present treasurer of the company is William H. Severance, of Lynn, Mass., who writes us as follows:
"The lease given to the Boston & Battle Mountain Mining Company by the Broken Hill Company, was broken some time ago through lack of funds to carry on the work, and the 'Maggie' has reverted back to that company. What they intend to do with the property, I am unable to say."
It would appear from the above that the outlook for the company was not very encouraging. There is no mention of the company in the Colorado state mining directory for 1898 beyond the mere fact of its registration in the office of the Colorado secretary of state on June 22, 1896, with 2,000,000 shares, and headquarters in Victor.
No current handbook of the mines and mining companies of Cripple Creek mentions it.
