Plat Map shows the Discovery Shaft almost at south short border end, placing it on the slopes of Raven Hill. But most of the claim is heading north, crossing Squaw Gulch and climbing up on Gold Hill where the 1903ish topo-map has a shaft named Work No. 4, which is more modern then the Plat Map of the lode claim, as that map only shows two Tunnels up on Gold Hill, one with a Winze.
