Banner Shaft Benefited by Roosevelt Deep Drainage Tunnel
That shafts on the extreme west end of Beacon hill, near the edge of the Beacon hill plug, are being benefited by the Roosevelt deep drainage tunnel is proven through the partial unwatering of the Banner shaft in the last week, the water going down 10 ft. Minor courses have been opened and serve to lower the water in a few of the shafts, but not much is passing through the tunnel.
