Leora V. Shaft Sinking Work Begun
Work was begun yesterday sinking the shaft on the Leora V. which is to be 4x7 feet in the clear. The recent strike is holding out in good shape and already a large amount of ore has been sacked and enough will have been taken out this week for a good sized shipment.

All this ore is from croppings off the ledge and within a few feet of the surface. It will run all the way from $50 to $500 to the ton and picked specimens could be found running into the thousands. THE TIMES reporter yesterday saw a pan of the dirt scraped up and washed and a long string of the beautiful yellow colors was the result.

A new shaft house will be erected and machinery will be added in due time. The vein has been traced for 200 feet on Leora V. ground and opened on the Annex which side lines within a few feet of where the new shaft is being sunk.
