      Found this in The Morning Times Newspaper of January 22, 1896, but has not found it on known claims from the BLM List so has no Survey-number on it.

He was confronted by a posse of citizens from Gillett who made him hold up his hands. He asked the cause of this kind of treatment and was informed that a murder had been committed in his immediate vicinity. One of the posse stated that he could at that moment detect the odor of a decomposed body. The posse started for Gillett with Tuttle, but he finally induced them to release him. The vest spoken of yesterday was the property of Frank Warren, one of the locators of the Missoura claim, and had been left by him lying on a log.
