      General notes:
The Plat Maps show the Discovery Shaft 750 feet from the southeast endline. It was meant to be at the center of the claim, as both Plat Maps have lines extending in the northwest while the claim itself only ended up at 1310.85 feet in length for reason(s) unknown to me.
graphic for visual presentation of text There are two more Shafts on the Plat Maps, both north of the Disc. Shaft, the first one seems to be connected almost with the Disc. Shaft with a Drift as per the claim Plat Maps. The northernmost Shaft is close to a Shaft shown as ID 42 on the 1903ish USGS topomap and might be one and the same. The other two Shafts on the Plat Maps are not shown on the topomap.
graphic for visual presentation of text The reduction in size appearing on the Amended Plat Map is due to the loss of ground east of the Disc. Shaft to another claim, that ground is marked as Tract C., in addition to two smaller 10 feet each square boxes about 435 feet southeast of the Disc. Shaft that is linked to another claim group, possible shafts on those claims. Nothing appears on the topomap in that area.
