Ollie Gold Mining Co. Drifting for Vein on Ollie
SIGNAL HILL CLAIMS
—————————
Are Drifting for the Contact on the Ollie.
—————————
Considerable attention is being paid by prospectors and investors to Signal and Gold Quartz hills. These eminences although some distance west of what has thus far been considered the gold belt, have nevertheless, owing to their vein formations, succeeded in gaining the favorable notice of mining people. Numbers of shafts have been put down, but up to date no shipping ore has been mined. As none of the shafts have been sunk to any great depth, however, is does not necessarily follow that there is no mineral of shipping grade hidden therein.
On the Ollie claim, located on Signal, and owned by the Ollie Gold Mining company, a Creston, Iowa, corporation, a shaft has been sunk to a dept of 115 feet. A few days ago crosscutting to the north was started to reach vein contact. This result will be accomplished with about 45 feet of drifting, when it is expected pay will be encountered.
