Location is partly along Pony Gulch, mostly on the slope that leads up to a top without a name southwest of Signal Hill- Plat Map has the Discovery Shaft about 400 feet from east short line border, with 3 other Shafts nearby and another group of 3-Shafts further west. Nothing of these are visible on the 1903 USGS map.
