Homestake at Mt. Flagstoff in Long Hungry Gulch in Ore A district to the southwest of Cripple Creek is being developed that has previously received but little attention. J. M. Small and others are working a group of claims on Mt. Flagstaff, sinking a 2-compartment shaft on the Homestake lode. The ore found is oxidized quartz, and assays about $9 per ton.
