    General notes:
The Major-Loughrey seems to have been the company, but as this claim was part of that company and I seen a report of the Major-Laughrey shipping I take a chance and claim this as another name for this mine...
graphic for visual presentation of text The claim map of the Violet is an intertangled mass of claims, but the part shown on the claim Plat that I would say is this claim is showing a Discovery Shaft quite near the east edge of the claim, with a second Shaft just south of it, together with a Trench in same area. Further west there is a Cut, and just north of the discovery shaft I count a third Shaft, a fourth Shaft, and a fifth Shaft – the last two might be part of the Sans Pareil claim but count them here as hard to tell and they are much closer to the discovery shaft of this claim…
graphic for visual presentation of text Much further west I see a second Cut and a third Cut marked out, plus a Shaft in a piece of ground lost out to another claim not belonging to this company, called Carnival.
