      General notes:
This ID 101 War Eagle Shaft is located thanks to Global Mapper and the use of the 1906ish USGS Principal Underground Workings map which had an unnamed Shaft at this location, which matched quite well a Shaft mark on the 1903ish USGS topomap. In addition, this number 101 is printed on the topomap in a location making it relate to three Shafts, that all are on the War Eagle Lode claim!
graphic for visual presentation of text -> I originally had this ID linked to the shaft southwest of the number, now it is the one north of the number, the right one of the two shown on the topomap. Sometime down the line I will give the other two shafts an ID number as well in case I ever will be able to match mining news tidbits info pieces to a given shaft…
