      General notes:
This ID 100 Shaft is named Kalamazoo on the 1903ish USGS topomap Map Legend on the left side, but as it is located on the Little Joe Lode claim, I have named it per its location: Little Joe Shaft. It was to the east of the known Wild Horse shaft, close to the east sideline of the Little Joe and hence the west sideline of the Kalamazoo but not at all on that claim!
graphic for visual presentation of text The Little Joe and Kalamazoo make up a shared Mineral Survey claim group, where the Kalamazoo is the first name, so I presume that is how this ID became named how it did by the USGS people. It can also of course be because it was such named locally, I have no way to tell that story as both claims has more than this Shaft on their ground on the topomap and mining tidbit news from back in the time will often reference "any shaft" as name of claim, or company, or person, so it is not possible to know more at this time due to name appearing on more than one shaft locations.
graphic for visual presentation of text I will have to revisit this area at a later time. Maybe I am lucky and come over a mining underground workings map of this claim.
